STRUCKHOFF LAW OFFICE
THE PLACE FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE DUI/DWI DEFENSE

Introduction

I have spent more than thirty years representing people charged with driving while under the influence. Today, more than ever, I firmly believe that my clients are entitled to make the crucial decisions throughout their interaction with the legal system. Because you, as a prospective client, are an integral part of the defense of your case, it is important that you be well informed about the DWI legal structure in order to make those decisions sensibly, including the initial decision as to whether you are going to retain my services as your attorney. After hearing the facts of your case and your situation, I honestly try to advise you on whether your retaining me to represent you makes sense. Then, you can decide. As we proceed, I will keep you informed of what is going on, give you my advice as to what I think is the best course for you to follow, but let you make the final choices based on the information at your disposal.

If you have been charged with DWI in New Hampshire, the most important information you need now is that you may lose legal advantages as soon as ten days after your arrest. Other deadlines occur thirty days from the date of your arrest and may prevent you from obtaining a hearing on your license suspension, resulting in the loss of your license or right to operate for up to two years. You should contact a lawyer as soon as you possibly can, regardless of how much time may have already passed.

You may contact STRUCKHOFF LAW OFFICE by phone at 603-448-2477, by E-mail at ecsiii@nhduidefense.com or by completing and submitting the PROSPECTIVE NH DWI/DUI CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE. All information that you provide by telephone, email or on the questionnaire is protected by the attorney-client privilege and will not be shared with anyone.

Because New Hampshire DUI/DWI law is complicated and constantly changing, it is hard to write a relatively short explanation that fits every factual situation. What follows does not purport to be complete, nor is it designed to be a source for legal research. You should use this explanation only as a guide to the basics of DWI law, and make sure to contact me, or another lawyer, about your particular circumstances. Below is the sort of basic information I think may be of help to you in understanding what kind of problems you face, what the potential consequences of a DWI/DUI arrest are, and what you and I may be able to accomplish in order effectively to deal with the situation caused by that arrest. Feel free to follow any or all of the links below, or start with THE BASICS and read the entire article. Many more specific questions are addressed on our FAQ's page.
